Princess Anne and the late Queen's funeral cortège from Balmoral

Many of us will remember the very moving spontaneous line ups of the public on their horses on the route of the royal cortège from Balmoral.



On being asked whether she had noticed these as she was driven past, indeed she had. She also observed that the horses had been very well turned out for the occasion, including being plaited. And that the tractors that lined up elsewhere had been washed for the occasion. She was both impressed and very touched.
