Hi everyone my story goes like this, been riding in a riding school for three years and recently purchased my own horse in May. My horse is a 14.2 11yr old mare quiet to work with but quite a forward going ride. so far we have been getting on well but i do still feel i have bought too much horse to rider and dont have the confidence to ride her on my own and was just wondering if anyone out there could come to me at my home in Coleraine N.I and help me build my confidence with working and riding my horse 'show me the ropes' as she is my first horse outside the pre-programmed riding school horse. I dont want to give up on her and sell her as I have grown quite attached to her and I want to be able to get onto her and work with her and so far are doing well going from not leading her out of a field myself to cantering her on my own (No lunge line). She can get quite maress when shes on season but is now on frisky mare supplements that will hopefully help. I have no aspiration to become a competion rider i just want to have fun in my field with my mare thats it. If anyone can offer me any help it would be much appreciated! Thank you.

P.S I will pay for your services.

Phone up the Training Department of the British Horse Society and explain what you are looking for and your post code and they will give you the contact details of some BHS qualified riding instructors in your area. I would try 3 out and see which one you get best on with.

I would try asking at your local feed store / equestrian shop / Riding Club as I'm sure they'll be able to recommend people.
