Hi all. I work in the agriculture and someone has asked me if it would be possible for them to convert one of their buildings to a private livery yard.

We could get 8 stables in and a tack room and a feed store. There would be plenty of grazing as well. No menage and no house available to rent nearby though.

The people do not want any hassle of managing it. They just want to spend £10-15k putting in new stable partitions and the building has got toilet/water/electric/big lockable door so it would work quite well. I wondered if there was a market to let the whole lot out to one person and if so what do you think it would be worth to rent?

In the north leicestershire area. If they get seriously interested people they will do it based on yearly tenancy agreements.

Thanks everyone

there is deffently people intreasted in renting as a whole or someone who wants to sublet , the price is depend on the area, how many stables, sandschool if theres one the amount of grazing , if there is water and electric , the hacking side of things etc , i would look on the prices nearer that way and see cause it is really depending on bits and peices , just one more thing you could bring it to south east could ya ive been looking for ages

No idea on the cost I'm afraid as like Ischa says, it depends on the acreage etc. and I don't know average prices for your part of the country. Also agree with Ischa that yes, there are definitely people interested in renting yards - always - however, be prepared for many of them to want to sublet one of more stables to somebody else.
