Sorry I know it's been done to death! I have tried to find the old threads, but can't

Is there much difference between Pro Hoof and Pro Balance?

My old boy had dreadful feet so used Pro Hoof as I threw the best of everything at his feet. New boy is a 3yr old Anglo Arab who's feet are pretty good but need a bit of TLC (slight flare and under run on 1 fore) I had the remains of my Pro Hoof left so have been feeding him this and I can see the change growing down (about 3-4 months worth) but now I need to buy some more, do I go for the Pro Hoof or will Pro Balance suffice?

He's on Fast Fibre, Micronised linseed and the Pro Hoof. Out for 7-8 hours per day, ad lib hay at night

I've just been through this - when I looked at both online, Pro Hoof simply has more stuff in. I'm feeding it ATM but he hasn't been on it long enough to visibly see any changes. His behaviour has changed dramatically, but I've also cut out alfalfa and am feeding just a bit of Speedibeet instead so I suspect that's what has done it!

When I contacted them, the Pro Hoof has stuff added in to help with digestive problems (sorry can't remember what it is, maybe Yeasacc?) but the Pro Balance is just vits and minerals so if your horse doesn't suffer from any of these problems then the cheaper PB is fine.

If I were you I would go for the Pro Balance for both your horses. I found a massive difference when I started feeding it.

Personally I feed the Pro Balance and add in some brewers yeast separately as this seemed to be the main difference between them (there are other differences I'm sure but this appeared the biggest one I could find and what I do is a lot cheaper than buying the pro hoof)
