Hiya - how long do prolite pads last before they should be replaced? should they only be used on one horse really so that they are not worn in uneven ways or whatever?? thansk!

?????????????

surely if your going to be using one for years and years, you should get your saddle checked, fitted and flocked correctly

They do have a life and need replacing. I thought it was about 5 years if used every day. They should not have issues with being uneven and can be swopped between horses.

Not true - I fitted my jump saddles to accommodate a prolite as I wont jump without one. They help spread the pressure of the saddle and even if the saddle fits perfectly, the pressure is uneven when jumping as your weight is shifting about and you are not always sitting centrally.

thanks! yes i have had my saddle checked of course! saddler said it's fine but recommended a prolite pad for my old girl to even out any slihgt inconsistencies etc etc. will keep ane ye on it then for signs of wear.
