...I was just wondering - going to my first hunt soon, and should I stud my horse up? What do people generally do? I normally school on a surface, though hack at weekends at this time of year. If we were going xc schooling or showjumping on grass I'd normally stud up, with a stud girth ofc :D but not sure with hunting as do they tend to go on the road alot and can you do this with studs?

btw my horse is a 16.2 Warmblood, and came from a huntsman about a year ago so should be fun! Thanks in advance!! :D:D

I don't put studs in, and don't know many people who do. Most people have road nails/studs in at most, and I don't even use those, although that's down to my farrier not wanting to unbalance Ron's hind feet and the fact that actually he doesn't slip too much.
