Problem with riding hat

I have a Charles Owen hat on which the inner lining became competely detached before a year old, and even the inner sponge pad dropped out. I didn't go back to the shop as I needed to use it regularly so kept tucking it all back in.
It looks like the glue was not up to the job or maybe poorly made.
I have emailed the company twice but they do not even reply (I know they've read the emails).
Has anyone else had this problem with this make or any other, as I need to get another but don't want the same problem again.

Never had a problem like this. I have had several hats throughout my horsey years, and all had good use and lasted well.
Do you keep it where it is damp by any chance, just a thought?

I would perserve with contacting Charles Owen prehaps ring them instead. I agree I wouldn't expect the lining to detach - it may just have been part of a faulty batch, its a shame you didn't take it back earlier.
