Ok here it is, I've always clipped ponys legs out over winter and come summer when he has his summer coat he has no/very little feather. I do WHP with him and have never had to clip off feather in the summer. However, this winter gave him three clips first, took legs out and second and third i left them on. The result, he now has feathers, their not too bad, but definitely there. I think that when his summer coat comes through fully most of it will fall out (hopefully) but I am taking him to a show on monday (showing class - so he can't really have them). The obvious thing to do would be to clip them off but then a) they will look clipped and b) I would have to keep them clipped all summer, but, the biggest problem is he hates his legs being clipped, its not that he's being naughty and its not anything to do with the clippers (he lets me clip INSIDE his ears without a head collar on and with big clippers) I think that he just can't stand the vibration of the clippers on his joints, so there is a chance that I could try to clip them and end up with 3 legs with feathers and one half clipped. HELP what should I do!!!

, not sure it does

I think I would try and get the bulk off with thinning scissors- you'll be able to get a natural look with the scissors, no vibrations, and you can blend them in with the rest of the hair on his legs

good idea but one problem, i don't have any thinning scissors. Though I think I will invest in some next time I go to a tack shop, for the future. thanx

Trim them! Scissors and comb so you don't get 'doorsteps'

bandage overnight to get the hair to lie flat and look as unfeathery as poss?

Will definitely do that, and I know that it does help with him.
