Probs be done to death but how long did arthramid take to work in your horse? I have been told 2 weeks to 3 months!

We are week four now, everything going well 100% better but not sure he looked right as he trotted off across the field the other day. It was a lazy trot so that doesn't help. I have trotted him up and he looks fine. Am I looking for it? Do I just sit back and wait for the time to pass and see what happens as he feels 100% better. He had both hocks injected. I am worried as this feels like the last chance!

Studies in racing thoroughbreds demonstrate Arthramid Vet is more effective (83.3%) at treating lameness, versus corticosteroids such as Triamcinolone (27.3%), and Hyaluronic Acid (40%) alone. Not sure how that translates into everyday horses but sounds very good.

I understand it can last up to two years.

heres a fact sheet about it, if you scroll down it gives information https://www.conturavet.com/products/arthramid-vet

I think it was about five or six weeks before I noticed a difference in mine. He was going along just the same as he had been and I was just starting to think it hadn't worked and then suddenly one day it was like it kicked in. Mine still isn't 100% so it's best not to watch him walking around the field but it's made a big enough difference that he's very happy hacking and doing fun rides and the odd fence.

It was a hoof trim about 4 weeks after when I really realised how much it helped. She's always been awful at bringing the left hind forward onto the stand and for the first time did it like a normal horse.

The farrier also said the wear on her hooves was different. She was a lot nicer to be around as well.

She then went an injured something else so I can't tell you if it continued to improve but we definitely have a much calmer farrier day these days and it's been 2 years now.

It was going so well he had greatly improved 8 weeks on then today so very lame. I'm absolutely gutted I just want him to feel well back person, vet, farrier have all said he feels and looks better. The today bang. I keep reading it takes up to 3 months. Thanks for the replies.:confused::confused:

If he's gone lame 'bang', then the hocks may well not be the issue. Abscess?

With the long Bank Holiday weekend coming up, can you get a vet or at least a farrier out today?
Never thought of that I'm bind sighted but the hocks. Thank you have message my farrier and he is coming this afternoon! Xx
