Professional help for traffic shy horse

Can anyone recommend anyone who does a good job and has the facilities for a horse who is nervous in traffic. I actually livery at a place where it has plenty of off-road riding but given the horse is young I think it needs a good allround education and therefore needs to improve in traffic, we get so far in building up confidence and then because the only road near is singletrack someone drives too fast and too close and we take a huge step backwards- after a scare yesterday horse has taken to leaping around at the sight of a car today, unfortunately this has made me nervous and is perpetuating the situation. We don't have any nanny horses available to us. Any ideas of somewhere I could send her for some remedial training, where they have nanny horses available and suitable roads?

It might help if you say what area you are in too? Good idea to do this if you want a complete all round horse. If you find the place remember when you come back to practice practice practice etc. Even bring the horse to a car in the yard, start the engine etc etc.

Make sure you take help with you on the ground too if the horse is young with hi viz on to slow that traffic down etc. Just a little at a time to ensure the traffic is accepted as the norm. Even getting use to white/yellow line variations, drain/manhole covers etc/cones roadworks.

East midlands- so most places pretty accessible- less interested in location and cost than getting the right person for the job as its pretty important to get it right/ salvage the mess we've made!
 
You could try Adam Taylor (jump elite in Lincolnshire) as I know he hacks his competition horses out a lot and has dealt with many different horses- from plods to the crazies! Not sure if he could help as he's mostly competition livery but I'm sure he could advise you if he can't.
As much as it might be a crazy idea and I've never heard of anyone doing it-try a racing yard? As their horses hack out for miles every day on fairly busy roads. Might not be possible as most race yards have masses of horses to get ridden every day, but may be worth asking?

I know quite a few trainers etc in the East Midlands area-so if I think of anyone else I can let you know x
