Professional valuation of SJ horses - expert witness

Could anyone make any recommendations for any individuals suitable for valuing a number of (good) SJ horses in a professional capacity? It may be a professional dealer, auctioneer, valuer etc.

Good idea, it's a possible certainly. No idea how I'd go about finding one!

Insurers won't normally offer a value on horses as if you then wanted to insure them it would be like getting an agreed value policy which is VERY rare (& usually more expensive).

I'd be more inclined to see if you can contact a local professional trainer/rider - try and see if you can perhaps find a website or e-mail for them and approach them that way.

Don't know if it's of any use, but my insurance company requested that the valuation for my horse came from: a vet, trainer, or farrier. My farrier did it in the end.

QR - if I were you I would contact one of the auctioneers that do proper horse auctions, like Ascot sales etc. I seem to think it's Brightwells?
