Just wondering how often people call out these professionals for their horses, and how much??

- Back specialist
- Dentist
- (and any other professional that is not a monthly visitor??) :)

Teeth EDT every 8 months £40

Mctimoney Chiro and Soft Tissue work every 6 months £40

Saddler every 6 months fee according to what needs doing

EDT annually or as required (was every 6 months for a while), normally about £45 for a routine check.

I have only ever had physio/chiro/'back person' when it has been friends-of-friends who are training or for clinics run by my local vets. He has never had any issues whatsoever although enjoys the attention. If I felt he wasn't going well I would call vet and would happily have a physio out, but it has never been necessary.

Saddler again when required - new horse, new saddle, drastic change in condition/maturity or way of going. Usually every 12 - 18 months if no problems arise.

Teeth by EDT every 6 months - £40 a horse, all horses need checking every 6 months

Chiro/vet (vet is very good chiro) every 3 months if I can but definitely every 6 and any time there is a problem, charge depends on who I get.

Saddler - maybe every 6 months but I prefer to fit myself if I can as I've been screwed over by so many saddlers, my horses and their backs let me know if they aren't happy and I know a fair bit about saddle fit after all these years.

Farrier - every 6 weeks without fail. I pay £45 for just fronts at the moment, not sure how much a trim is.

Physio at least every 6 months for £55.
Dentist - £50 every 6 months.
Chiro- £65 at least once a year or when I think she needs it (she comes over from Ireland)
Vet- around £40 for a standard call out (which we have had a lot of recently  )
