just wondering if anyone has horses by mars and what they are like under saddle? my friend has a 6 yr old and hes very nervy silly and unpredictable .shes hoping hes going to turn out very sensible (which mars was as an older horse) but has no idea what mars was like as a ridden youngster?
 
Contact the lady owner of Mars.
I went to see Mars once and he had a wonderful temperament, believe he was ridden as a stallion quite a bit.
The owner was a very nice, friendly lady. I am sure she would be happy to advise.
Google Badgerwood stud. Mars was PTS a couple of years ago, just in case you were unaware, owner adored him - quite rightly !
 
An old friend had a mare by mars, she is a bitch. Horrid spoilt mare, but I put that down to her upbringing.

By all accounts, he was a wonderful stallion.
 
yes my friends gelding was actually the last foal born whilst mars was alive (altho there were more born after he died) and he really is the image of him,hes a wonderful loving boy but just a complete twit under saddle and my friends got everything crossed hes going to turn out like mars- eventually!
i have heard his foals can be a bit stuffy and not very forward thinking under saddle so just wanted some more opinions really. thanks guys:)
