So I bought Tom in March. He is a 7 year old skewbald ISH by Mohill Gypsy out of an ISH mare called Shroofe Lass. His previous owner had done jumping with him at 90/100cm.

Tom and I went to our first unaff Intro at Mattingley in June. Our dressage is very ropey at the moment but got double clear albeit with a few time faults due to pilot error on the xc!

This is a photo from the day (hopefully the attachment works):

Our second event was the unaff Intro at Mattingley last weekend. Dressage was a little better (40.5), 8 faults SJ and then clear again xc with a few less time faults. The xc was a bit bigger than Mattingley in June so I was really pleased given that this was only his 2nd event! He's never even seen a sunken road before but jumped down and up it like a pro. Still wouldn't go faster than a walk through the first water but we managed a canter through the second water and he absolutely pinged the trakhaner after the water!

Because of this I have now entered the unaff Pre-Novice at Tweseldown in a couple of weeks' time. I almost entered the Intro but then decided to push myself a bit more and be brave. I'm really excited and hope that I don't let him down as he's such a lovely honest horse.

I'm having dressage lessons at the moment with Tor Fenwick and have had one SJ lesson with Paul Crago so hopefully we should be making progress in the right direction.

Will keep you updated on our progress!

He looks lovely, I am interested in your post as I have just brought a 4 year old and his dam is by mohill gypsy and he was breed by the farnaught stud in ireland so I have been doing some research on the Internet and came across your thread. There hasn't been much recent information on mohill gypsy other than when I searched I found an ad on done deal Ireland and he was for sale looking a bit sad which made my heart sink a bit. Your boy looks really lovely good luck.
