I am tentively offering my mare to a good home as either a project or possible broodmare. She is a 17'2 6yo ISH believed to be by Cruising out of a Ballinvella mare. Unfortnately her breeding is not recorded on the passport. I bought her from a stud in Ireland after she passed a vetting. She is a big moving, uphill horse. liver chestnut with white flash and back socks. stunning mover and has a nice nature.
She has spent 5 weeks being broken and whilst the breaking yard had no problems with her and had her trotting in the school and hacking in company I am finding her too much horse and she will be wasted with me. She can be tense for first 5 mins in school and can have a buck so not for the feint hearted.. I am asking £500 to cover costs of breaking her.
I really hate to part with her as she is simply stunning and would have been the horse of a lifetime for me, and she will only go to the right home. please email kookie1988@hotmail.co.uk if you can help me .

Good luck with finding her a home.

If in I was in your shoes, I would ask a small reputable yard to take her on and produce her a little more so she gets a really good home with a suitable new person.

The breaking yard are coming out to visit today and see what they can do with her. I'm not prepared to send her to another yard as she really needs some stability and consistency. My partner is riding her at the moment and if we had the space we would keep her for him but that's not the case. I'm only posting on here as I am aware there are plenty of experienced ppl who won't waste my time and may know someone who would be perfect for the horse.
I have had an offer of a lovely home at stud for her and I may take that option as was advised by the vet when I bought her she would be fantastic to breed from as she has such a quality frame and attitude.

Found a perfect home the 1st day I advertised. And actually I got my perfect little horse in return. A local yard fancied her as a nice project and had a lovely trad show quality cob looking for a home in return. So we swapped.
Goes to show that if you ask around and advertise honestly you can end up with happy horses in good homes .
