Prolite /girth and sleeve question

So my cob has started using a Prolite girth, he is sensitive and pink skinned and reacts to it without a girth sleeve. With sleeve (or a fluffy as we call it ) he is fine.
I've managed to force a non-anatomical girth sleeve over it but I doubt I can get it off for washing without cutting !
(I think it's a Shires fleece girth sleeve)
I was just wondering if anyone has managed to successfully use a straight fluffy on a Prolite or any other anatomical girth ?

I know you can get one made by Nuumed but as they cost as much as the girth , wondering if anyone has managed to use a straight sleeve.

The sleeve I have on it looks surprisingly good and doesn't move or twist so apart from not being able to get it off it's perfect!

Our issue was elbows only so cut a standard nuumed sleeve in half and used on those bits.
I did consider that as the main sensitive area for mine is on his sides but I'm a bit worried that it will create an edge where it has been cut and he will be able to feel it?

I have a LeMieux Fairfax cover for mine; it fits fine. That being said, I regularly chuck the whole thing in the washer (girth and all) on a cool wash and it’s been absolutely fine so you might not need to take your straight one off at all.

A horse I ride has the le mieux shaped covers for her prolite girth, they always twist and slip and I really don’t like them. We put a straight girth cover on once when the shaped one was being washed and it didn’t move so much more preferable tbh

Yes my straight Shires synthetic one works really well and doesn't move
