My mare has been really upset with me touching her girth area for the last month. Scoped, no ulcers. Physio couldn’t find any tightness.
This started using a leather girth so switched to a string girth. She doesn’t react to the girth but will bite if I touch her there with my hand. Clearly is uncomfortable.
Saddler came out and said to try trial a Prolite girth because it fitted well, but the issue hasn’t improved.
See photo, where I’ve circled there is a gap and it does not sit flat.
The saddle fitter said this is normal and when I get on it will be fine.
Can anyone confirm if this gap is normal?
Saddle has just been fitted and she is going well at the moment. Just can’t put my finger on it
