Seeing as it looks like the British market is about to be inundated by the French Heavy Weight breeds, I would like to introduce the Itaian equivalent...

The majority of these guys do go for meat as there isnt really much interest in them re work ridden or otherwise. I wish to state clearly that I am in no way involved with the breeding or selling of this breed but am of the idea that if the Comtois are worthy of saving then these guys are equally important.

What a shame.They hint at the meat production on the website don't they? Mentioning how quickly the foals grow and how easy they are to keep.The only thing is I supose, meat production will keep the breed going until hopefully interest will be taken in them for other things.
