Prospective new horse failed the vet. Very fed up.

Title says it all really...

Had a 5 stage & the vet said that the horse has an outward deviation of the right hind below the fetlock joint. The joint is a bit swollen & although the horse is 100% sound at the moment, the vet said we might have a prob in 6 months or so, esp with the amount of jumping that I was planning on doing.

Best to know now rather than later, I suppose, but even so...

Looks like I won't be hacking out at the w'end & starting lessons again next week after all.

So it's back to the drawing board. All I want is something that's 5 or 6 ish that would jump foxhunters, & BD to medium & won't scare the living daylights out of me. Pref with Cruising in there somewhere.

Bad luck! Its really annoying when you find what you want and it fails the vet. Never mind. You will find something in the end and it WILL be worth the wait!!

Sorry to hear about the vetting. Been there myself (but not looking for a horse at that level)

I do believe in fate though! If Tilly hadn't of failed the vetting (and I loved her to bits) I would never have got Milly!

I love her to bits and really couldn't have asked for a better horse to put up will all my fumbling around whilst I learn to ride her better.

The right horse will be out there for you and I hope you find him/her soon.

Im so sorry, I know how much you wanted this horse

I had one vetted before I found Jerry that failed, I really thought he was the horse for me, but I am so glad he failed, because otherwise I would never have found Jerry, and he is in a complete different class to the other chap

so it ended well,

Dont you just hate it when that happens !,

I wonder if they will lower its price or divulge that it has now failed a vetting ?

there is no change to its ad on horsemart,
anyway give the one above a ring it does look lovely x
