My mare had her injection friday for insemintion Today hopefully but so many people have told me it didn't work for them, and may not work because i'm having frozen semen but i cant see how it would make a difference. My mare has silent seasons, so was just wondering if a few have had good experiences with both the injection and especially with frozen semen because I've looked online and can't find a great deal of reviews of people.

Didn't get much feedback in the breeding section :-(

Thanks

Do you know what stage of her cycle she was at when she was injected? PG generally won't bring them back into season if given within the week after end of last season.

As for the AI, I assume she is being scanned? If the PG worked I would have expected her to come in on Sunday, and if she cycled normally she wouldn't be ready til probably Thursday, but every mare is different and with frozen you pretty much have no hope of getting it right without scanning. You basically have a 6 hour window in timing insemination with ovulation with frozen, whereas you have much more time eth chilled and fresh. I would think the vet will use a hormone implant once a big follicle is present to try to control ovulation further, so if you gave it tonight she would ovulate Thursday morning/lunchtime hopefully .

Murphy88 has said pretty much the same as I did in the breeding section but without you letting us know where she was in her cycle when she was injected and you having her scanned now to see if she has a folicle and what size it is there is not a lot of help people can give you. do you know when she last ovulated? do you know if she had a CL when she was injected? has the vet scanned her to see if she has a folicle now?
