Has anyone else noticed a calming - almost very mild sedative like effect with protexin acid ease? Not used this before and 4 days in to the loading dose (50g scoop 2x per day). Unsure if this is normal and can’t find much online

Thanks @mini-eventer. Im hopeful that’s the reason, just with our luck at the moment I almost darent think that positively!

(Edited to add just in case, this is under vets advice. Just didn’t want to bother them with potentially silly questions)

It’s a known thing. A good guy supplement can after be way more beneficial than over the counter calmers.
If I have a horse who’s a big wild I’d always try a gut supplement.
Good to hear it works!

Sorry to Hijack thread, but anyone who's used Protexin Acid ease, have you always done loading dose?
I simply cannot afford another €70 tub in 15 days so the lads at Protexin said the maintenance should be fine but slower results?

Just feed what you can. Anything is better than nothing. It might just take longer. I think I've fed it without the loading dose before and it still worked.
