Hi All,
My horse got kicked in the field a few weeks ago and an infection occurred he has been treated now and the vet has just come out to check the wound as I wasn't happy with how it was healing.
My vet said he has proud flesh. Can anyone explain to me what this is? I haven't much experience with injuries, how is it caused/ is it common? or is it likely to have been something I have caused?
I was told by my vet to bandage at night and then leave off in the day when the kick first occurred.
Thanks,
