Last night I took the little powerhouse out for a hack with 3 others from the new yard (which is fantastic, if anyone remembers, I was at a yard with another lady who was very controlling, weird and belittling).
Anyway, the little dude was amazing, everyone commented on what a superstar he is for a 4 year old! He cantered nicely on a open field, pulled up perfectly when asked, walked out in front extremely proudly, walked through a stream (2 others had to get off as there was no way their horses were going through), jumped a little ditch and stood nicely while some of the other horses prated about when some ponies came galloping over to us.
What a superstar. Made me a very proud owner, especially when some of the other horses were less brave and enthusiastic!
Makes me love the little dude ever more!
