pony was diagnosed with bilateral hind limb PSD and navicular at the beginning of june. its taken alot of time, money and tears but today i got to see him ridden by a friend and instructor and he is SOUND, schooling walk trot and canter and looking beautiful.
Today was the day i really felt proud, many people thought i should retire/pts but i decided to give him the chance due to him being young (now rising 7) and i am so glad i did.

just wanted to share my happiness and hopefully it gives hope to others who may be in a similar position.

That's great to hear. I help with a mare who badly injured her tendon. She was given time, lots of it, and she's now doing well. When I rode her on the anniversary of her accident, she was perfect and I cried! It was with happiness and relief that she was given the chance to heal. It was a long road but worth it. Good luck with your lad.

What wonderful news. Your smile says it all.

BTW I hope this doesn't sound stalkerish but I saw the photo of your rats. One of them is the spitting image of one of my old rats, Bandit. They make such great pets don't they?

I love the names. Strange you say you have a cuddly one and a not cuddly one, I've had two pairs and with both one was much more interested in humans than the other. Watching rats play is the best.
