The cats brought in a mouse last night and left it running free in the living room  Que sister screaming

Cats are useless and just watch from a distance  so I told Jake to find it and get it. After several attempts to flush the damn mouse out from under the sofa it legged it the length of the living room and back hiding under/behind everything before Jake finally caught and killed it. He dropped it when told and stood guard just in case it came back to life :D

Thats 6 live/almost dead small furies and 12 dead ones in the last week  you'd think we didn't feed the cats

Clever Jake:D Dogs are more practical than cats.

A few years ago my daughter went into the sitting room and came out screaming there was a rat in the room, I went down with Pip one of our Lancashire Heelers just to see it run behind a cushion on the sofa. Pip grabbed it and killed it and we looked everywhere to see how it had come in and discovered a sooty trail by the chimney so presumed it had come down the chimney.
