ok, so bare with me, I know I am going to be boring you all to death with these posts and the ponies progress but here goes. following on with my fat busting goal to get Jacks pony trim and at a correct weight I decided that whilst I was child free today I would take Patch on a long walk in hand, rather than lunge to keep him sweet, we live in a really quiet area and usually when I have my kids on board we stick to the little country lanes. Today I wanted to go further so armed with pony, decked in high viz (and me) we did a three mile route march, made him trot most of the way whilst I power walked. we had to do a mile or so on a really busy main road through a village, loads of cars and lorries whizzing past us, 98 % of which didn't slow down and I am proud to say that Patch didn't bat an eyelid, he was as good as gold :) the only thing I had to stop and let him look at where the calves in the field but that was more curiosity than fear. for a five year old pony he really has got a heart of gold and I am looking forward to seeing what he could turn out to be as he matures. Happy post :D
