Took my 9 month old lab to his first gun dog training session- it was an assessment of how he works etc. Until now due to work and illness (me not him) we have just played around a bit ourselves on walks.
The lady who took it thinks he is amazing and so eager- she said he could go really far. However i and OH are the ones who need to work on our training and she gave us so much valuable advice. Really looking forward to next week!

Hopefully OH will be very happy to take him out at end of summer all being well. Will post some pics when on laptop tomorrow. Yes we will work him to whistle he is learning the basics of recall on whistle already just need to get the look and watch me bit sussed!we go again Thursday will try video his retrieval.
