Ethel made me very proud today. She has never ever seen coloured poles before and I wanted to see how she'd do with them. As we don't have any at the yard I keep her at, I took her to my friends yard down the road where they have lots and lots
She'd never been in that school before and the surface was different to our own so she had good look and stepped onto it very carefully and then was fine. My friend got out two poles and I asked Ethel to walk up to them, she gave them a good sniff and walk straight over
We ended by trotting over 5 poles and she was incrediably good
We also went on the gallops that she used to go up when she was in training to be a racehorse. I was a bit concerned that she'd get over excited and misbehave, but she was good as gold and just cantered up nicely
Very pointless post, but I'm very happy with her today
She will be 4 on Tuesday, and it wont be long until we start going some shows and doing some clear rounds
