Chuffed with my share boy today as firstly he hasn't been ridden for over a month due to awful weather and my work commitments. And secondly he went out on his own for a hack with his other owner walking with us and he was really good :-)

Normally he just plants and refuses to move but none of that today, just some slight screaming for his friends but we just kept chatting away to him :-)

Very pleased xx

Thankyou, he's a big lad so can be alot to deal with. I know he can hack out on his own as he did it in last home but he's not been so good since we've had him. Partly trying it on but I'm a heck of alot more confident and purposeful with him now xx

I agree, the rider's confidence makes all the difference as I think that many horses nap because they are unconfident. So the horse gets it's confidence from the rider. ;)

Yep, it's very true. He's definately not confident so I have to be. We had lots of chats today about the spooky things he was looking at, however don't mind him looking as long as he doesn't whip round. Everytime I asked him to go off my leg he did too xx

Thankyou xx

This is why it can be quite hard to move him!!

That's great news :) As another one with an ex napper (he lost confidence in me but regained it!) who still tries it on occasionally it's just so good when they behave and you can get them past things. I love that face of his.
