Just wanted to say how proud I am of my daughter. Pointless post really....she is 9 and get her first pony last year after loaning one before him. Now this pony is not easy. Whilst not dangerous he can put in a sharp spook and have a buck. She has come off him so many times but gets straight back on every time. He needs quite some riding to get going but then goes beautifully for her. At one point I suggested maybe we should sell him and buy something easier but she was horrified and wouldn't hear of it! Her friends seem to have much more push button ponies and I've often felt a bit sorry for her when they're flying round a course of jumps and she's having to kick him on and sit tight when he does get going! (like to add teeth/back/tack all checked). Anyway he's made her into a lovely little rider, she has a very secure seat. She's confident on him, she loves him to bits and is now jumping 2'3 and successfully doing a course! Even came 6th in a little show last week. So just a proud post really, a tough little kid and a little mon key of a pony but they seem to have become a team at last :)
