myself, husband and youngest daughter (17) went to a psychic reading tonight in our local pub. We had a 15min reading and she got some things right- husbands job changing(lost it in sept)
me being fed up with cooking(Wedding caterer) daughter choosy with boys(only had 1)
we are in the middle of decorating and we would not move for some time(yes and also house up for sale!)
she said she had two men to her right for my hubby?
lady to her left for me?
husband lost mother
me lost brother eh!!
what really dissapointed me though was the fact that she did not pick up on the fact that we lost our beloved pony in Nov and we have had him 17yrs so was a massive part of our family. she did say thouh that xmas was not how it should have been because someone was missing.
On xmas day we have allways dressed neds up in santa rugs and tinsel and ridden through the village and they all got lots of attention from the neighbours well this year we went out cos we didn't want to think about not doing it!!
What do you all think about psychics?

I think they are a load of crap, but i am sure they provide comfort to some people. Basically they make a few informed guesses and then make further guesses based on your verbal and non-verbal reactions to what they say.

i was grabbed by one in cardiff last week-most unusual experience of my life-didnt believe in them up till now. she told me stuff nobody could guess and pinpointed details that were so true she simply couldnt have guessed. she told me that im pregnant (i am but only month or so so dont look it) and that I have a black horse (i do) etc etc very pinpointed and correct! scary!

I'm a Derren Brownist

Which would probably worry him...

I think they often tell you details that are correct. But I don't think it is the dead that are talking to them, but they can read your mind by telepathy. I think everyone has the ability to be telepathic, to a degree and often when under stress. However, with some people it more highly developed.

Hi Canasta,

I have mixed views. I get through myself, and what i've been told is always right. However, i've never capitalised on my 'gift', and have only ever shared my experiences with fellow 'psychics' in a very private way.

It does sound, however, that your lady has got a great deal right, from what you say. I do think that she picked up on your dear, much-loved pony. 'Someone was missing' says it all.

When i get things 'through', they're never in simple, loud, English language. If i'm lucky, i hear a whisper. Let's never forget, we are communicating with folk who are now on a different level. Most of us are far too busy to hear, but it may be worth taking a quiet moment somewhere.

Please think again about the folk you have lost - it may not be the obvious, recent ones who want to talk. I say that with their love, and their request that you think again about who is talking? x

Having said all that, a 'psychic horse' lady took the pee out of me about 4 years ago. I used to ride a mad horse, with a deranged owner, and the 'psychic' said i was upsetting the horse even more. The owner was petrified of this horse, treated it like it had human feelings, paid me £15 to ride it, paid my trainer £25 to ride it (he refused in the end, + good for him!) But - she paid the 'psychic' £120!! Which resulted in a big fall out - not only cos of the money, but cos of what this 'psychic' had said about me! Like - I've upset it! When i think i'm a non-aggressive, experienced AI.

The 'psychic' then started pestering my mobile. So it got to the stage where she felt it was appropriate to say to me 'I don't need to listen to this language'

I leave it to your judgement, my friend. As in any walk of life, there are genuine, and there are others.

With all my best wishes, BS x

My daughter sees ghosts. Dead people...who she doesnt know but can pick out from family photos. Doors open and close, stuff gets moved around and people come visiting (dead ones!)......I'm not fibbing.....

She once asked who that old lady was whilst we were out riding in the woods.....no-one there ([****] myself) - she described my long-dead grandmother who she has obviously never met.....

i believe in them. the lady i use is truly gifted and has told me many very specific things that she could not possibly have known or guessed at.
however, i think that there are a lot of charlatans who make money out of it without having a gift, by making careful guesses and reading people well.

Agree with that.......

As above, agree there are a lot of charlatans out there and I have always been a bit wary until I went with my horses to see Anne Dee, she asked me nothing I told her nothing but christ she told me only things that my horses knew, me and my OH were stunned to say the least, so impressed was I I took the rest of the gang over the following day, only to be amazed again. Left it at that but kind of kept in touch if she was in the area, had one horse who I hadn't taken over to meet her as he came into my life a bit later, sadly he was a bit mad and a tad disturbed, had a really rough upbringing and hadn't been touched by a human since he was gelded at 6months, I bought him at 5yrs, mad I know!! Anyway got the best out of him, even started to ride him then one day he went down with a twisted gut and we lost him, broke my heart, thought my world could end there and then and that I wouldn't care, it couldn't have got any worse, anyhow for weeks I said to my OH that I could swear I could still hear him galloping around the fields, the only thing he did best, he was a bit mad after all, broke my heart everynight I could hear him then one night I didn't hear him, if I thought I was going mad before that yopu should have seen me looking out the bedroom window all night, got into work the next day, fired up PC and here was an email form Anne Dee letting me know that she had had a visit from him the night before, now scorn all you want but its true, she told me things that no way could she have known and that she had helped him cross, he told her he was sorry an dthat his leg no longer hurt and that he missed me, funnily enough it eased my heart, she also said that he had gone to her through Sausage, my old horse that Anne has spoken to a few times and is still with me, because she has such a link with Old Sausage he took him there and the rest is history, no I have never heard him again and have questioned everyone I know to see if anyone had tipped her off being the sceptic that I am even after all the evidence and no one admitted it so I have drawn my own conclusions the woman truly has a talent and I'm forever gratefull to her so you see there is good ones out there I'm not just mad!!!
Mind ypu probably all think I am mad now but hey ho horses for courses!!!

She's a future medium then!

Hi Teabagtoyota,

I had tears in my eyes when i read about your lovely young horse, and about Sausage. I'm glad Anne helped you and them, and am so glad you all met a genuine lady.

I've met a few charlatans along my way, but i know firmly from experience, that there are things in life which science can't yet explain...

That's my firm view, anyhow (having lived in a house with a poltergeist)

I hope we all keep an open mind, welcome the spirits (and thoughts) which visit us, while recognising when humans are taking the pee.

With all best wishes, BS x

I've seen one once, tagged along with my friend who was into it and thought why not, it's a bit of fun, I was very sceptic. I told her nothing, never met her before in my life and it was the first time my friend had used her too so we had no connection. She got lots of stuff correct, but what was scary was this... She said someone needed to go to hospital, that I should call them to see how they are. I said my nan is in hospital so it's probably her. She simply said call them today. So when I left I called my mum to see if she'd seen my nan and she had and she was fine so I thought nothing of it. The next day my sister-in-law gave birth to a still born baby :-( My brother said she had some labour pains the night before (the day I saw psychic) but she said she didn't feel she needed to go to hospital. Had she gone, who knows... Awful. I have never told him. x

Hi Kezza,

Thanks for sharing that with us. What a horrible experience for you. Sending love x.

Your tale does, however, remind us all that there are things out there which are beyond our current Western civilisation's knowledge.

I hope that gives you comfort, as I hope it does to others reading this, who've lost loved ones. I know what it's like, and my thoughts and love are with you. x
