I would say I'm going to have to make this decision re: my cat in the next few months. I am wondering if I can arrange for him to be done at home rather than dragging him to the vets surgery? He hates going in the car and to the vets and it just seems a miserable way to end it all. Obviously I appreciate there would be call out etc. but do small animal vets do this?
(His lump is pretty much growing by the day so no idea when but can't see him making 6months)

I know people who have had dogs PTS at home, so can't see it being a problem with your cat. I'm sorry they haven't been able to do more for him

Yes, our neighbour had their elderly kitty put down at home last week, for the same reasons. Very peaceful, with no stress! Sorry to hear you're going to have to say goodbye

Our vets came out to put my friends dog to sleep in her own home so I don't see why they wouldn't come for your cat. Obviously yes there will be a call out but if you're prepared to pay their charge I don't see how they can refuse.

So sorry you're having to make this decision.

Yep they will do it...the call out will be considerably less when done during the day and by appointment....I think its better to keep the animal in its own home if its prone to stress..esp cats...as it will also make the experience more upsetting for yourself.
