Just looking for advice on insuring my horse. After making circa £1000 in claims in the past year (despite insuring for nine years previous to this without claiming!), my premiums have become rather large and exclude virtually any issues relating to laminitis or accesses (all my claims related to these) and Cushings and EMS (had tests, came back negative but still excluded from policy). Not an ideal situation so am now looking to insure third party only and set money aside each month separately for any vets bills that may arise.
I'm considering BHS gold membership to cover my third party insurance, but am now unsure this is wise given issues with having to claim off other insurance if possible (even car insurance?!) which just seems like it'll be hassle to claim is needs be and also risk bumping up my premiums on other insurances.
Any advice/experience welcomed!
