Public transport to Olympia in December

It seems crazy to withdraw the tube service to Olympia just before the Christmas Horse Show, but is it really such a big problem? In the H&H email Newsletter, it's all about trains, but hasn't anyone heard of busses?
Olympia is served well by a number of bus routes, and the view from the windows is so much better!
What's more, out-of-town oldies like me can travel anywhere on London busses FREE, using our provincial bus passes. This benefit does not extend to trains.
See you on the No 10 bus, perhaps?

Afraid when I book my hotel for Olympia it's based on how far it is from the underground as I travel on my own and I don't want to be walking round any city on my own in the middle of winter after 10pm at night, can no longer afford the Hilton Olympia so was using the underground to get back to the hotel late at night.
Guess I won't be going to Olympia this year.
