Puffy eyes.

One of my labs came upstairs to the lounge today and my mum thought she had a swollen face. (Hard to tell past the fat).
With closer examination it appears that around her eyes are puffy, her actual eyes are fine and are not red or bloodshot, its literally just around the eyes. There is no discharge and the corners of her eyes are gunk free and rather dry. (Her eyes always have gunk in them.. messy dog). Her eyes have been itching her for the last few days but we have thought nothing of it.
We do intend to take her to the vet but does anyone know what it might be so we know what we are dealing with?

Has she been in long grass, could be a grass seed or some other small object like grit? Other than that i don't have a clue. Sorry i cannot be of any more help. That's the only suggestion i have.

Thanks for the reply. Its really wierd because the swelling has completely gone down now!

Glad to hear she is looking better. My dogs sometimes appear to have things in their ears, shaking their head, for no apparent reason and then they are perfectly fine the next day! Indeed strange animals!
