I'm getting rather paranoid about my coloured's forelegs. Since he suffered a tear to his ddft last year I have been checking his legs every day, morning and evening, before and after work, whenever I happen to pass his field...

When the tear was found, it was operated on, Charlie had 12 weeks of box rest with walking out inhand before being turned away for a futher 3 months in the field. He then did 12 weeks walk work, 6 weeks trotting and is now going for 2 hour hacks with the odd canter. He has been sound since although some days his legs fill right up and a fair bit of heat is present. There doesn't seem to be any correlation to him being worked and i'm 90% sure he isn't hooning around as he is kept at my work place which is also where I live. One thing I have noticed however is that when we have really mild/muggy/hot days they fill up and when it is cold/wet they are back down without any heat. Has anyone else experienced this and should I be worried?

Thanks
