puffy supra - orbital ?

Seriously panicking about my boy now, noticed yesterday that the hollows above his eyes were puffy and bulged out when he ate, he also has a slight discharge out of each nostril although this is clear, seems very happy in himself, eating well, he was a little lethargic on a hack today but put that down to the heat and we are only 5 weeks into barefoot so he isn't 100 percent comfortable yet. Every I Google seems to point to IR or EMS etc, he is 14, he is a little over weight but I can feel his is. His sheath also seems a little swollen but I might be being paranoid as he has always had a big sheath. He is currently on a sparse paddock and has the fence moved a smudge daily, topped up with high fibre haylage and token feed to carry his forage plus. Should I get the vet to do a blood test? No pulses are felt and totally field sound, I'm so worried

You are right to be thinking about EMS...but don't panic ..You're doing all the correct things to help.
I would ask your vet to test for EMS and perhaps Cushings. The test for EMS will help you gauge how likely he is to develop laminitis and could put your mind at rest.
