Im in section C.

For those of you who have been there before, what's the setting like? Is the dressage away from the other phases? Is it a mamouth trek back to the lorry each time?

Thanks

It's a lovely event, nothing is very far apart. Dressage has always been right by the xc finish and very near the sj too but according to the schedule they are moving it further away this year!! I'm certainly hoping they do!!!

Lovely views of the south downs too

I'm in PN section H, day before dressage.

I've never done the affiliated event there but done a lot of unaffiliated ODE's, not on the horse I'm riding though.

Everything is VERY close together at the unaffiliated. The dressage arenas are next to the SJ and SJ warm up, literally 20m away with no hedge to block the view, the XC start is over the hedge as is the warmup and then you go through a hedge to get to number 1 and you can see that from the dressage arenas too. So dressage is literally surrounded by XC start, SJ and all the warm ups! For the affiliated though I don't know how they set it out, they may make it less distracting for the horses?!

Having said that the course is really nice and I'm looking forward to seeing it all dressed up!

They have the start on the same side of the hedge at BE, and the finish too. You have to jump back into the main field.

The sj is in the usual place but the warm up is behind the hedge at the top. Dr is normally on the left as you go through into the 1st field but as i said the schedule says they are moving it away this year as you used to have horses finishing xc galloping towards you, not fun on my 5yo.

Fantastic lots of HHOers to entertain us, good luck to you all. Pulborough is a lovely friendly event. Hattikins and I will be stuck in our car all day on Saturday jump judging, if it's like last year we won't able to move from our fence from 8.15am until 5.30pm (except for a mad a dash to the loo) so please please come and say hello and introduce yourselves while you're course walking we'd love to meet you all. We'll be in/by a dark blue Nissan Pathfinder. See you there!
