A friends horse is always pulling its front shoes off, as he strengthens this should happen less we hope.

Anyway I remember seeing something at a show once that you put round the back of the hoof and secure it in with studs? Does anybody know anything about these, or any Idea where I could get them from?

I don't know anything about the stud idea, but my mare who's really short backed and although doesn't over reach whilst being ridden, she chronically does in the field. She can have her front shoe's off days after shoeing, deffinetly not down to the farrier, he's superb and fits the shoe ever so tightly.

My OH is my farriers apprentice and he suggested over reach boots on all the time, I check them one or two times a day and they don't rub or bother her. She's been wearing them since November and been shod 3 or 4 times and hasn't managed to pull any shoe's off!!
