Pup has always been a bit noise sensitive. Cars were a big issue she seems to have pretty much got over that now. A shooting gun is no issue, bird scarers no issue but loud motorbikes and stuff like that she is a little nervous of but nothing drastic. But she absolutely hates planes. So far she has bolted back to us which is great but how do I help her?

Same as you would desensitise or re-programme anything really, have food ready and make a positive connection to first of all, the plane (mark and feed) and second of all, neutral behaviour towards the sound rather than worrying or bolting, wait until she is calm/has got through it.
We train under a flight path and the dogs get used to it really quickly.

I use the distract, mark, treat method. When she’s distracted by anything (good or bad) I say ‘nice’ in a happy neutral tone and throw a treat for her. It takes time to build up but seems to be working for us so far. I used it when my new neighbours moved in with a yappy dog that worried mine at first (she’s not used to the fence barking at her).
