Looking forward to the puppy..they really brighten up the board during this lockdown.. I’d vote terrier..so portable,he can go with yr hub on his runs ,yet is 100per cent full on dog.

Regarding transport in the car...I downsized from a vw touran to a vw t cross..the boot space was halved..
Now my standard poodle and my mini schnauzer travel, harnessed on the back seat.
........to,make us legal we bought this...it’s perfectly legal and acts like a barrier,to keep the driver safe....the barrier is easily erected between the two front seats..

That’s a clever device! I don’t have back doors either so need to put my seats forward to get to the back. I think one of those dog booster seats look good. They aren’t booster seats as such but a box type thing that attaches to the seat and the dog (and it’s dirt!) sits inside with a harness on so I think they are legally ok aswell, however I will look into that properly.... and that really is a fair way off ?
