yay! my dog just had puppies last night! there are 10! 6 girls and 4 males! they are pure bred boxer puppies! i am just so happy i had to share with you guys!

10? Crikey!! Later, the bitch may need some help with her feed levels, in perhaps a week's time when the demands for milk start to pull her down. Are ALL the puppies feeding, fat and quiet?
Just out of interest, do you routinely dock puppy's tails in the US?

yes all of the puppies are healthy and there was no complications during birth or anything everything is going great so far!
and yes we do dock the puppies tails but we dont dock all breeds of dogs but boxers we do :/ i dont think its right to be cutting of body parts of animals (unless you have to because they got hurt bad or something) but they are not my puppies so i have no say :/ and here in america i you want to sell boxer pups there tails have to be docked if you want to sell fast and for good money.Princess16

Why exactly do they dock their tails is it to prevent damage later on or just because it looks better? Don't agree with it myself but thought I'd ask the question?

I think its just because they think it looks better but idk why but we remove their dew claws to prevent them getting hurt like if they get it caught or something
