How did you train yours? What was your routine with it? and how old was it when you got it? Just out of interest as we've got a shitzu pup, hes 9 weeks now but seems to be abit of a late developer, at 7 weeks he was very unstable on his feet, now at 9 weeks hes only just starting to run around, do you think that it depends on the breed as to how quickley they grow up?

9 weeks is still a very young puppy and some breeds are more agile than others. I got my new lurcher puppy at 12 weeks, she is bonkers and very athletic and lively. She is a very fast learner and sharp as a knife. Breeds do differ.

My Ruby is hilarious and we are very lucky that the lady who bred her, did such a fantastic job in her first few weeks. She came from a big litter, so she spent her early weeks fighting and running around with 8 brothers.

Different breeds mature at different rates, but I would recommend taking any puppy to socialisaton and training classes once they have had all their vaccinations, especially if its an only child.
