It's a bit of a difficult one, without seeing what he is doing, to be honest.

Does he have frequent interaction with other dogs?
How do u reprimand him?
What type of lead/collar do u use on him?
What is he like off the lead towards other dogs?

hey all,

Where abouts in Yorkshire are you?
I'm in the Ilkley area and we've all used a local trainer called Pete Burns - he trains with his very sedate and extremely obedient Bull Mastiff who's very tolerant of the cheeky / overexuberant / aggresive /playful etc.
We bought him in when my mums young dog starting attacking the existing bitch - my mum being the trigger.
I also did dog training with the local puppy class, and the trainer is also a dog behaviousist for the Dog Trust - she's very nice but very different.
PM me if your local and want contact details.....

It may have been better to make an individual post, u would get more advice, however it simply means he has an issue with being seperated from human company/left on his own, u need to introduce a routine to help him feel comfortable in his own company, and getting him used to spending time by himself when u are in the house aswell as out.
A crate/sectioned off area of the house, baby gated maybe, with a teddy, comfy bed some long lasting chews or stimulating treats/kong, and feed all his meals in the area/crate as positive assosiation, and leave the radio on, to drown out the sound of your departure/arrival and gradually increase the times u leave him, making no fuss on your return, simply release for toilet, then fuss later.
Use the area for bedtime too.
