Hi.
New puppy settled in well...lots of walks...lots of cuddles.....lots of sleeping :)

However...at just 4 months he seems to be drinking way too much with the resultant peeing to go with it :(

He will actually drink his water over eating his food....he goes to the water bowl every time he goes past it to the back door....any thoughts would be most welcome.

I have booked him in to the vets tomorrow :(

Many thanks
Bryndu

Sorry Bryndu, impossible to diagnose without vet tests and/or observing him. I hope the vet can reassure you tomorrow. If he is a happy little pup, playful and lively I would not worry too much.

Thanks planete.....you just worry.....don't you :(
Fingers crossed.

Sorry, cannot offer any clues as to what it is, but would suggest if possible you get a urine sample from him and take it with you to vets as they will more than likely ask for one.

Ok.....
Worlds most embarrassing reply to those who kindly offered help..

We were able to cancel the vet appointment...as someone who will remain nameless in the household....was sneaking said puppy pieces of sea salted crackers for cheese !

The problem has almost sorted itself out overnight....thankfully.

We are not talking mega amounts of salt....but enough to make puppy drink more...

Thought puppy needed a training manual....but not so sure about human now...:)

Thanks for all you input

Best wishes
