Pup is currently on Skinners puppy, which looks fairly rubbish. Pups do looks well though.
I will probably put her on MWH but it says for an 8 week old they should have the 70/30, which is over 30% protein, that worries me for a young large breed dog.
The MWH 60/40, which the adults have is 24%, is that too low for a pup?
The Skinners is 27%.
Before the internet I would just have stuck with what it was on! Life was simpler then. :-)

Commercial puppy food is often 28/30% Perhaps you could start her off on the 70/30 and mix it with your 24% one as she grows.
My last 2 pups, Beans and Toast both swapped onto MWH as soon as they arrived. I used Riverside, they both grew well and steadily, never getting puppy fat. Beans got very skinny for a while, I changed his MWH to the high fat one (Ultima?) But that's unlikely to be a lab problem.

As you know I'm a huge MWH fan, my dogs all look fantastic and I'm really pleased with the way the young pups have grown slowly and steadily.

I did think I could just put her onto the gamekeeper mix, which is the current 'flavour'. I might do that, I would rather underfeed than over. Ours get a lot of scraps and raw eggs too. What is likely to be the problem with feeding too low a protein?
At the end of the shooting season I ran out of MWH and decided Tawny could go on Skinners for the off season, she has been on it two weeks and keeps scratching her face and flicking her ears, back on the MWH we go. :-)

Quarrie was on MWH from 10 weeks onwards to about 6 months-I changed it for the reason I told you about but he looked grand on it. He's currently on Eden and a bit of RAW.

60/40 topped up with higher protein meat scraps (raw preferably) should work out fine. Not too many eggs for pups, I kept the smallest Bantu eggs and no more than twice a week, do you feed the eggs whole? Mine love crunching the shells.

You could supplement with raw chicken wings from the reduced counter at work.

I bought some frozen sprats, Labs love them others not so sure.

My GSMD puppy has been on a MWH 50/50 from 8 weeks - she is looking fantastic, growing well etc, I am very happy with progress.
My adult Collie is on one of their 70/30 and has never looked better.

They mainly have eggs when they find a nest in the garden that I have missed, so far less in the last month or so with lock down. :-)
They don't eat the shells, they leave them clean and shiny and polished.
Will bear in mind not too many for pups!

Thank you for that Sprout, I think I will go with 60/40 as I already have it in and see how pup looks.

When we had my bil's' pup for the first couple of weeks, I spent an awful long time staring at puppy versus adult food. The differences are negligible in 'names' ie anything in Pets at Home. Puppy version had 1% more protein than the adult version. Puppy food didn't even exist until fairly recently.

The big difference, which is hard to spot, appears to be the phosphorus level (according to a canine nutritionist). You could therefore go straight to adult versions of whatever you fancy without harming the pup.

I think I will do that. It is so much easier if they all eat the same food. although greedy adult labs are looking forward to 4 meals a day!

I always put pups onto 3 meals with the 4th kept in my pocket as treats/rewards/bribes. Makes my life easier. Feed 7am, 1pm and 7pm

6 months we go to 2 meals a day which is our normal regime. If I'm feeling generous and they're being good they may have a chew or something at lunch

I don't last that long! We feed 6, 12, 4 and 8 for the first week or so then onto 3 meals ASAP. I don't train using food, well not so far (never say nver!) so all food comes out of a bowl.
