We get our pup on the 30th of this month, she'll be 8 weeks.
I intend to leave her a week or two to settle in before i book her into the vets for vaccs and microchip.
How much should i expect to pay for each injection? (im told they require two and then its annually) And should i have her microchipped on the same day?
Sorry for my constant numpty questions!

I would get her down the vets asap for her 1st jab. She needs to be out socialising as much as possible and you need to her to be as protected as possible.

My vet does not like microchipping at that stage. I think Harley was about 5 months when I had him chipped.

Our pup was already chipped when we got her, but had both injections, the next month's wormer and could have been chipped if she wasn't already for £50.

Dont wait to vaccinate - my pups always have first jab at 8weeks and 2nd at 10weeks else they miss their crucial socialisation period!

I also chip at the same time as first vaccs

We would always get a client to wait 3-4 days before vaccinating a new puppy incase there was any existing problem that could be made worse by vaccination.xxx

Just had our 3/4 Bed x (Whippet) jabbed. Paid £52 at first visit to cover both jabs and received a puppy pack with wormer & flea stuff. Went back for 2nd jab today and had him chipped - extra £10.

Evie's litter was microchipped and tattooed at just over 7 weeks. They went to their new owners at 8 weeks and I advised them to give them 3 or 4 days to settle and then take for first jabs. Freya and her sister who stayed with me were done at 8 weeks. I think the chips worked out at around £10 each, not sure about the jabs as Freya's sister had her rabies and a passport done which pushed the overall price up.
Until the jabs give full cover I would recommend carrying your pup out and about for socialisation.

At my place of work microchipping is £18, vaccines are £29.50 each.

TOP TIP: if your vet doesn't already do this (phone and ask them) then pop to the chemist and get some EMLA cream. Pop a small amount on the back of his neck between the shoulder blades where the vet will place the microchip about 5-10mins before he's due his chip. This nums the area and we've not had one notice and squeak yet!

Just to say I took my puppy to be micrchipped last night and used EMLA cream - he didn't even flinch. Brilliant - thank you very much from Wilf the JRT...!!

When I rang to book my pup in for his jabs etc, they said he needed to be here with me for at least 7 days before they would start his injections. This was so I could say how consistent he was with his eating and poo's etc. The vet said if he was slightly under the weather when he came then the jabs wouldn't work.

As previous thread, I paid £90 for vaccinations for life plus his microchip. I also got a panacur 3 day wormer the first visit and a wormer tablet the second visit.
