Hello,
We have a 6month old boarder collie puppy and he was() litter trained apart from the odd accident in the night which at hes age we could cope with. But now he will spend all day outside with the other dog, goes for walks down the woods we even walk him around the garden yet will ALWAYS come back in and go to the toliet!. When we tell him off for going in the house he runs away before we even say anything so he knows too right hes in the wrong for doing it yet keeps doing it! So just wondered if anyone could suggest anything that will stop him from doing this?
Thanks :)

Never tell him off for going in the house!!!

If you know he is going to do it, when you come in watch him like a hawk, then when he looks like he's going to go (squat/cock leg) say "ah ah ah" (but DON'T scare him), interupt him and rush hi outside. When he goes outside give him LOTS of praise.

Otherwise you could crate him when you bring him in if he always does it immediately. Then take him straight out when you release him.

You need to teach him to toilet outside, he, for whatever reasons, has learnt that it's ok to pee indoors and outside is just for playing etc. I would take him outside, on the lead, at regular intervals throughout the day, but especially first thing in the morning, after feeding and last thing at night. If he is outside for most of the day, bring him in and only let him out for his toilet breaks and when exercised. Use a cue when he is actually doing something (mine was an extended weee-weee) and as CT says, loads of praise when he's done. :) It can be sorted, you just need to be consistent and patient.:)
