My poor baby girl is very poorly, well when i say poorly she is not feeling a thing and is very much her normal self and thats what makes this harder.
She went into the vets this morning for some x rays on her face as she had a lump on her gum under her top lip. Vet originally described it as a developmental growth/cavity/cyst and confirmed that today with the x rays.
However the out come is not good at all as he has never seen this in his whole career nor any of his colleges and is trying to track down someone that has seen this before for some help and advice. He said its really uncommon so how to take it forward is a slight issue as we dont want to do the wrong thing.
Basically at the moment he could send her off for months of surgery which would enevitably (sp) end up with her loosing that half of her whole nose and i am not willing to put her through any of that and cant imagine what her quality of life wou;ld be afterwards. The vet is in agreement with us that whatever we decide has to be the best for her even if it is difficult for us.
We have everything crossed now that the lump will just stay as it is as she can live happily with it as long as it gets no bigger.
In the meantime the vet is trying to find out as much info as possible from any vet that has seen any thing similar etc.
We are struggling with the the thought that we might loose our little princess so early in her life, she is such a sweet heart and only 4 months old
Im bawling my eyes out typing this but ultimatly trying to stay strong for her, sorry if this does not make much sense, guess im just feeling very sorry fo rmyself and hoping that one of you may have had a some experience of this although it is a very long shot i know.
Lots of vibes for Meggy please......
