Yes anno...sorry.

Pup is now 9 weeks old, and is on 4 meals a day; two of james wellbeloved dried food, one of Lactol. Nothing else. I found his poos were very loose in the morning after the last feed (Lactol.....he can drink half a pint, but he is BIG), so i reduced the amount.

This afternoon he has produced three lots of very runny poo, brown, no blood. No vomiting. Otherwise full of beans, and weeing normally.

If it doesn't stop tomorrow I will be calling the vet, but I have an idea......I have a 4 month old kitten, and I think pup has been eating kitten poo from litter tray. Kitten was on dried food but did not seem to like it and was losing weight so was switched to wet kitten food yesterday. Am I answering my own question here?
Sorry to be thick...will get cover for litter tray if am right.

My vet told me to give him Actimel, he was about 12 weeks old at the time, I gave him half every morning and it did the trick. I still give it to him if he gets the runs.

Yes, if the "system" hasn't gone to irritated.

Hello. My 10 week old pup went to the vets on saturday with what sounds like the same thing.Very wet poo but no vomiting, lethargy oer anything else,he was his normal pain the the backside puppy but with the squits. His temp was fine .the vet said he had probably eaten something he shoulden't which would be either cat food or cow pats

.the vet told me to put him on a very bland diet of boiled rice and chicken for 24/48 hours and he gave me some Pro-Kolin to replace the gut bacteria that he would of lost due to the runs.Pup is now fine and starting to go back to his normal dried diet.

what breed is the pup, if its not the cat poo it could be an intolerance to the food as my rottie can be very wet and seems to digest cheap working dog mix the best anything else and he gets very loose

He's a mixture! Lab/collie/mastiff/lurcher. Got him on boiled rice and chicken now, and will carry on with that for 48 hours, then reintroduce the kibble.
Getting litter tray with cover tomorrow too.......

if it lasts over 24 hours go to the vets. if not just feed a small amount of chicken and rice to settle his tummy and make sure he has plenty to drink to keep hydrated. i'm sure its just one of those puppy things
